Responsibilities:

- Develop next-generation software solutions and technologies for convergence of interaction and services in Digital TV and mobile devices

- Create software architectures for novel and creative solutions for next generation device interaction and the delivery of internet services to devices

- Prototype hardware and software solutions using internally and externally created solutions to demonstrate ideas around the company

- Contribute to the organization’s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through the generation of patentable ideas

- Create technical solutions to complex software issues while understanding software-development processes

- Ability to quickly learn/adapt to new technologies and apply them

Qualifications/Skills:

MS in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering;  PhD preferred

- Minimum of 4 years’ related experience in next generation TV and/or mobile software technologies

- Expertise in C, C++, and high-level programming concepts; additional expertise in scripting, HTML, Flash is preferred

- Solid understanding of software development processes, including: rapid prototyping, design, development of reusable code, and documentation

- Solid understanding of web based technologies including: video delivery over the internet, web server technologies (HTML, HTTP).

- Experience with home networking technologies (UPnP), recommendation or personalization technologies is a plus.

- Experience developing software for clients (embedded systems) and servers (internet)

- Ability to work independently as a self starter as well as with a team

- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and follow through.

- Ability to deal with partially defined problems and unknowns and well as an ability to be adaptable/flexible within a fast-paced environment.
