Position Summary
 
Chaloner seeks to expand its Social Impact practice by hiring an Associate who will build and extend client relationships by providing outstanding full-life cycle recruitment services including sourcing, screening, assessing and presenting candidates to clients in a variety of philanthropic, not-for profit and game-changing corporate settings. The Associate will report to the head of Chaloner’s Social Impact Practice.  As a member of the Chaloner team, the Associate will eventually lead the identification and recruitment of communications professionals suited to meet the needs of Chaloner’s client organizations. The responsibilities of the Associate position are as follows:
 
Process Management & Sourcing
  • Follow agreed recruitment strategy and process for individual searches
  • Create and execute multi-channel sourcing strategy to source candidates meeting client profile and/or building talent pool for current and future requirements
  • Responsible for implementation and management of sourcing strategy for specific candidate profiles and building talent pools within non-profit, philanthropic and mission-driven industries
  • Use competency interviewing to identify and differentiate candidate in presentation and short-list process
 
Candidate Relationship Management
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategy & channels to build relevant talent pools 
  • Effectively communicate position opportunity and client value proposition to potential candidates
  • Manage all candidates effectively throughout recruitment process 
  • Develop and maintain relationships and seek referrals of other candidates
  • Manage candidate expectations and ensure timely and constructive feedback
 
Client Relationship Management
  • Gain responsibility for day to day interaction with clients including Communications Executives (hiring managers) and recruiting/HR business partners
  • Lead client briefing or partner with client HR business partners to understand job requirements
  • Conduct interactions with clients in a timely, professional and responsive manner
  • Identify & communicate continuous improvement opportunities and strategies
  • Conduct role briefing with client and set expectations for recruitment process
 
Ideal Experience
 
Chaloner seeks bright, personable and highly motivated candidates who want to work in a collaborative environment with a high degree of autonomy.  We seek professionals with a minimum of two years of experience in full-cycle recruitment in either an agency or in-house environment.  Alternatively, candidates with four years of experience in any of the following disciplines may be considered: corporate communications, pubic relations, investor relations, digital communications, government relations or public affairs in either an agency or corporate environment. Experience in recruiting for non-profit, philanthropic or mission-driven organizations is a plus.  A Bachelor’s degree is required.
 
The successful candidate will preferably have experience in a client facing role and be able to consistently conduct interactions with clients in a timely, professional and responsive manner at all times. He/she must demonstrate the ability to manage clients and set expectations in most aspects of the recruitment process.
 
We seek a problem solver, capable of listening to our clients’ specific needs and creatively strategizing where and how to source candidates that would match the client requirements. Moreover, this person must capable of utilizing their knowledge of the market to consult and influence clients and candidates alike through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Compensation
