For 20 years, our client has been a leader in the wireless infrastructure industry. Specializing in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) they are seeking a Director of Operations to manage all aspects of operations & maintenance for the service division.
The scope of work includes customer service, performance and systems monitoring, preventive maintenance, and administration.
This person supervises employees, a network of field service vendors, and a state-of-the-art operations center.
This is a customer-facing position that requires a self-starter with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and sales support skills.
Sustain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; anticipating needs and problems to address them before they happen; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
In case of service affecting outages, assure the Ops team promptly makes direct contact with the customer affected, provide periodic updates to customer, and advise customer of resolution.
Manage facility access, including: establishing and maintaining effective and current access procedures for each facility; arranging access as needed for carriers and contractors in accordance with the prescribed procedure; installing and operating security and access control systems appropriate to the venue; and controlling and safeguarding all company equipment, materials, supplies, test equipment, keys, and codes.

Supervise, direct, and assist troubleshooting both in-house and that performed by local field service maintenance contractors, equipment vendors, and other resources as approved by the company. 24/7 or as needed.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, 10+ years of experience in a management role in the cellular wireless communications field; DAS experience preferred
Expert knowledge of fiber optic networks and distributed antenna systems including hands-on operational experience with installation and operation of DAS, antenna systems, and site support equipment including RF performance, and PIM testing
Understanding of IP networking, specialized diagnostic, monitoring, alarm management and reporting, trouble ticketing, and utility usage and billing software and systems
Ability to travel 30-40%
