This position combines the candidates technical aptitude and with their sales & business development experience. An ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge in server design, JBODs, storage controllers and subsystems, as well as implementation in Enterprise class systems and cloud infrastructure. Will draw on thorough knowledge of business processes, systems architecture, and technological capabilities to analyze tradeoffs in complex systems and recommend solutions. In addition to possessing a strong technical background, the candidate will execute technical sales and business development activities for both products Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) / WB and EMS, leading to incremental and follow on bookings.
Performs task such as:
Acts as the primary technical sales interface for an account or a small number of accounts. Identifies influencers and key decision makers within the accounts to establish and maintain a positive relationship. Manages the overall customer relationship process. Supports business development in the development and execution of the account strategies, tactics and selling propositions. Investigates potential new qualifying opportunities. Ensures that Customer Relationship Highground principles are followed in managing the accounts. Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-national or global basis. Requires developing new strategies, policies, practices, methods, programs or techniques and utilizing them to analyze and interpret difficult problems or situations. Work closely with pricing team and review all quote P&L’s for target matching. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions often involve controversial situations or influencing and persuading other senior level managers.
  • Robust background of market for Server & Switching Technology
  • Extremely strong communication, interpersonal, relationship management and professional sales skills
  • Extremely strong reporting skills as well as time and priority management skills

  • Exceptional team management skills
  • Exceptional ability to work with others as part of a cross-functional team
  • Knowledge and experience in the sales of Services (as opposed to Products) is critical
  • A combination of Technical Sales experience and Bachelor’s preferred
Typical Experience:
  • Five plus years of technical sales experience; server/switching knowledge is required
  • Demonstrated experience of Storage / Server / Networking products
  • Bachelor of Science or Masters in engineering technology is preferred
  • Bachelor of Business Commerce
Travel Requirements:
  • Flexibility to communicate with Global Teams
  • Travel 25% - 50%
