SOFTWARE ENGINEER
(location: outside of

)
**This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Summary:
Under general supervision conducts product research leading to new or improved products to maintain the company’s competitive position and profitability. Creates software products based on specifications developed in conjunction with customer application experts from other departments within the company.
Qualification/Skills/Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience:
2+ years research and/or development experience
Skills
:
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms and associated development tools desirable
Good knowledge of software research procedures
Good organizational, decision making and communication skills.
Experience with PKCS11, Windows CAPI, C++, and Token processing is desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites:
• Implement code in a timely fashion and with high quality, consistent with standards for the group
• Unit test software components to ensure module-level functionality and data structure consistency.
• Resolves issues found during engineering test and QA in a timely manner, taking risk into account
• Provide documentation as appropriate including design documentation, inputs for external specifications; system requirements specifications and end user documentation
• Consistent use of group tools such as
MKS
for tracking of defects and management of code
• Participates in design and implementation/code reviews of other team members
• Remains abreast of current technological progress to ensure company's products remain marketable and competitive
